A few years ago I took a chance and started over. This time around I decided to do what I love - making photographs, and as it turned out, creating videos. I am excited to begin my second career exploring the world through photography and videography. As I pursued my BFA in Photojournalism at Rochester Institute of Technology, I did just that in communities in the Rochester, N.Y., area. I look forward to working with individuals, organizations and communities to create storytelling imagery to share their stories.
Food - A Celebration of Diversity
I collaborated with the Marketview Heights Collective Action Project for my co-op on a photography project entitled, Food - A Celebration of Diversity and it was a joyful learning experience. We created photographs together to share the beauty and diversity of the community through making and sharing their unique, cultural food. An exhibition of the photographs was held at Gallery R.
Just Around the Corner
My Senior Capstone Project, Just Around the Corner, shared stories of people found around just about every corner in Rochester who are creating urban gardens and experiencing all the benefits including self-reliance, healing, and freedom from food insecurity.
